How much is too much?

Did It Used To Snow More? – Photos – WMUR Manchester.

Apparently, we have had more snow fall in New Hampshire in the past decade than any other! And the next decade just might be even more, as January alone had totals of 37+ inches, the 5th highest amount in 100 years! And I don’t think we’re alone here. It looks as if nearly the entire U.S. is feeling winter’s brunt. Maybe we should all relocate to Hawaii? (Oh no, but then we couldn’t wear our woolly accessories!)

What does this all mean? I think maybe it means that after you clear the snow from the walkway, the roof, the porch, and from in front of the mailbox (since our new Spring catalog is in the mail and you don’t want to miss out!), you should sit inside and knit or crochet for the rest of the day, because you deserve to! (Even if you don’t have to clear any snow today, take a snow day anyway in honor of those who are shoveling away!)

  1. I received my catalog today! Can’t wait to get comfortable with a cup of hot chocolate and look through and see what I can’t live without. As soon as NCIS is over.

  2. Hi -I remember back in the ’60′s seeing an issue of Life magazine that had pictures from Michigan showing suburban houses with snow above the first story roofs and people digging their way UP out of their front doors. There was one picture, I think I remember this correctly, of a man walking straight out his second floor bedroom window to get to the road.
Brrrr! I know it’s been cold and stormy, but I think it’s a cycle.
All the more reason to stay safely at home and knit. :0)
